What the policyholder should do in the event of a stolen vehicle:
• Report the crime to the police and include on the report any personal property items that were in the vehicle. Be sure to obtain the names of the law enforcement officers who the policyholder spoke with.
• If the stolen vehicle is financed or leased, the policyholder should also report the theft to his or her finance or leasing company.
• Contact the insurance agent or our company as soon as possible to file a claim.
• If the police recover the vehicle, make sure to notify your insurance companies claim department immediately.
Note: If the policyholder does not have comprehensive physical damage coverage, he or she should still notify us of any stolen vehicles immediately. Notifying us of the vehicle theft could help protect the policyholder if the thief causes damage to others with the car
